Inspired by Chapter Sixteen of the Bhagavad Gita, this print depicts the teachings of Krishna on the divine and demoniac qualities that shape human character and determine the course of one's life. Krishna describes virtues such as fearlessness, compassion, self-discipline, truthfulness, and humility as qualities that lead toward spiritual freedom, while pride, anger, greed, arrogance, and cruelty bind the individual to worldly suffering.

At the centre of the composition, Krishna and Arjuna stand together along a flowing river, creating a spiritual focal point amid a richly detailed world of kings, sages, households, communities, and everyday human interactions. The surrounding scenes portray the many expressions of human conduct, suggesting the choices, virtues, desires, and conflicts through which individuals move between higher and lower states of consciousness.

Drawing from the visual language of classical Indian miniature and manuscript traditions, the artwork combines architectural details, ornate figures, natural landscapes, and intricate narrative scenes within a unified composition. Earthy golds, deep blues, and muted greens give the print an aged manuscript quality, while the layered storytelling reflects the Gita's exploration of human nature, morality, and the path toward spiritual liberation.
