Furniture Packing & Installation
How we pack & ship our furniture
At Brahm, furniture delivery is approached with the same care and precision that defines its making. From intricate inlay work to finely finished surfaces, each piece is prepared for international transit using standardized, export-ready protection.
Each furniture piece is packed using a multi-layer protection system developed specifically for international shipping—helping prevent dust exposure, moisture contact, abrasion, corner impacts, and pressure from stacking.
- White transparent plastic wrap to protect surfaces from dust, moisture, and minor abrasions
- Soft white foam wrapping to cushion the piece and absorb impact during transit
- Extra foam corner protection (1.5-inch thick) to reinforce edges and vulnerable points
- Custom wooden crate to secure the fully wrapped piece against pressure, stacking, and handling
Why certain pieces are shipped upside down
Some inlay furniture pieces are intentionally shipped upside down. During international transit, shipping crates are often stacked with other cargo. By positioning the inlay surface at the base of the crate, the most delicate areas remain protected—significantly reducing the risk of pressure-related damage.
Delivery & simple assembly
Most furniture pieces require minimal assembly upon delivery. In most cases, this is limited to attaching legs or knobs.
- Knobs and legs are securely packed inside drawers or cabinets
- Assembly should be completed while the piece remains upside down
- Once secured, the furniture can be gently placed upright
Delivery, inspection & claims
Open the sections below for what to do on arrival and how claims work.
Inspect the outer wooden crate carefully before opening. If any damage to the crate is visible, take clear photographs and a video while unboxing. This documentation is essential for raising a complaint with the shipping company, should it be required.
While damage during transit is rare, international shipping involves multiple handling stages. If your furniture arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
We will raise a claim with the delivery partner (UPS, FedEx, or DHL). As part of this process, the courier may arrange an inspection at your location.
All original packaging, including the wooden crate, must be retained. Without these materials, the shipping company may not approve the claim.
If the damage is minor and repairable, we will arrange a professional local repair and cover 100% of the repair cost.
If the damage is structural and cannot be repaired, a replacement piece will be produced and shipped following inspection and approval by the courier.
