Frequently Asked Questions
Our Stone Sculptures are carved using techniques that have remained unchanged for centuries. Each Indian Stone Statue begins as a single block of granite, sandstone, or marble, hand-shaped by artisans who treat carving not as labor but as ritual. Every curve and contour carries the patience of stonecutters who understand that permanence takes time. These are not mass-produced objects; they are stories set in stone.
Every Indian Stone Sculpture in the Brahm collection is carved by hand. No molds, no shortcuts. The process involves chiseling, refining, and polishing, guided entirely by the artisan’s eye and instinct. The result is a piece that feels alive, holding traces of both material and maker.
Our artisans use natural stone sourced responsibly from India’s heritage craft regions. This includes granite for strength, sandstone for texture, and marble for luminosity. Each stone type influences the mood of the sculpture, from granite’s gravity to sandstone’s warmth and marble’s quiet light.
Stone is durable but benefits from care. Keep your sculpture away from constant moisture and clean it with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Over time, a natural patina or subtle changes in color may appear; these are signs of age and authenticity, not flaws.
Many of our Indian Stone Statues depict deities, guardians, and symbolic forms from India’s spiritual traditions. Yet you do not need to share that faith to appreciate them. They can be valued as works of art, embodiments of heritage, and echoes of India’s architectural and sculptural mastery. Whether placed in a temple, garden, or modern home, these sculptures speak to culture, history, and the enduring human instinct to shape meaning from stone.
