Delivery & Fulfilment

Our Approach to Sourcing and Delivery

Historically, artisans in India work in small, independent settings that are often far removed from global shipping and export systems. Even within India, sourcing and delivery can be complex. Shipping internationally adds another layer altogether.

Part of our mission at BRAHM is to bridge that gap. Many of these masterpieces are sourced from small rural workshops, across towns and regions that most global shipping networks were never designed to reach. Many of our artisans have never shipped their work beyond their region. Our role is to manage export requirements, quality checks, packing and international logistics so that artisans can focus on their craft at a pace that honours their process.

We absorb the delivery complexity entirely, so customers never have to navigate the challenges of international craft logistics and tariffs themselves. Even so, delays can happen. These may be caused by weather, material availability, regional shutdowns, transport disruptions or simply because certain pieces take longer to make.

What may appear as delay is often the quiet, unseen work required to move something human-made across continents with care.

Delivery Timelines and Expectations

Estimated Delivery, Not Guaranteed Dates

All delivery timelines shown on our website or shared by our team are estimates, based on:

Product category
Production method
Artisan or workshop location
Shipping method
Destination country

As many of our pieces are handcrafted, made to order or shipped via freight, we cannot guarantee delivery on a specific date.

If timing is important, we strongly recommend contacting us before placing your order so we can advise you on the most accurate estimate for your location and item.

Tracking Information

Tracking availability depends on the courier and shipping method used.

  • Some shipments receive tracking only after reaching major international hubs
  • Freight shipments may have limited or delayed updates
  • Transfers between carriers can create temporary gaps in tracking information

We select shipping methods that allow us to manage customs clearance and tariffs on your behalf, so customers are never asked to pay duties on delivery. This can sometimes mean tracking becomes visible later in the journey.

As soon as tracking is available for your order, we'll share it with you.

Delivery by Category

Paintings

Our paintings are created using layered hand application, traditional pigments and natural binders. Drying and curing times vary depending on humidity, temperature and seasonal conditions.

Approximate Making and Shipping Timeline

  • Painting production: 4 weeks
  • Domestic delivery (within India): 3–4 days
  • International delivery: 1 week
Sculptures

Sculptural works involve some of the most demanding processes we handle.

  • Stone sculptures often require settling periods after carving
  • Metal works move through casting, cooling and patination
  • Finishes may need time to mature or be sealed before they are stable enough to ship

Many sculptural workshops are located outside major logistic corridors. Transport to export hubs, combined with customs processing, adds variability that must be factored into delivery estimates.

Approximate Making and Shipping Timeline

  • Sculpture production: 2–3 weeks
  • Domestic delivery (within India): 3–5 days
  • International delivery: 1 week
Furniture

Most furniture pieces at BRAHM are made specifically for each order, rather than held in stock. This allows for careful material selection and quality control, but also means that timelines depend on workshop schedules rather than warehouse availability.

International delivery typically involves freight, with scheduling, port handling, consolidation and customs clearance adding additional variables to delivery estimates.

Approximate Making and Shipping Timeline

  • Build time: 5–6 weeks
  • Dispatch after completion: 1 week
  • Domestic delivery (within India): 7–10 days
  • International delivery: 7–10 days
Wallpapers

Wallpaper designs are printed in controlled batches to ensure colour consistency. Custom quantities, substrates or finishes may require testing and calibration before production can begin.

While wallpapers generally move more predictably than larger, handcrafted orders, international shipping and customs processing still apply and can occasionally cause delays.

Approximate Making and Shipping Timeline

  • Design preview: 3 days
  • Production: 3 days
  • Domestic delivery (within India): 4 days
  • International delivery: 10 days

Taxes, Duties & U.S Customers

U.S Customers: We confirm your sculptures + artworks ship tariff-exempt to the U.S. No surprise duties post checkout.

Do I have to pay taxes and duties?

Please note that international customers may be subject to local customs duties or import taxes upon delivery. These charges, if applicable, are not included in the product price or shipping fee and as such, must be borne by the recipient. Customs policies vary widely across regions, so please check with your local authority for guidance if you are uncertain.

Brahm Client Care Policy

We accept returns only for items that arrive damaged or defective. If you believe your piece has an issue, please contact us at info@brahmcollection.com within 7 days of delivery, including photographs of the concern.

For approved cases, you may choose either:

  • an exchange for any item of equal or lesser value, or
  • a full refund to your original payment method.

Refunds are issued within 5–7 business days after the returned item is received and inspected. Return shipping costs for damaged or defective items are fully covered by Brahm.

As each piece is handmade and often made to order, we are unable to accept returns for reasons other than damage or defect. Furniture pieces are excluded from returns. Order cancellations are only available within 24 hours of placing your order.

*Excludes pieces in the furniture collection

What Choosing Us Means

Choosing BRAHM means valuing process over pace. To care more than just what an object is, but how it came to be and how it gets to you.

The pieces we work with are shaped by time, material and hands that know when to stop as much as when to continue. Artistry and craftsmanship of this standard cannot be accelerated without losing something essential. Bringing work like this into the world requires understanding that what is being protected is not just the object itself, but its heritage and the way it came into being for centuries.

If you have questions about an order, a timeline or the process behind a piece, our team is here to help.
