Provenance
This artwork draws inspiration from the serene imagery of the Bodhisattva Padmapāni, one of the most celebrated figures in India's Buddhist artistic heritage. Depicted in quiet contemplation, the figure is framed by a radiant halo and accompanied by a blooming lotus, while simplified architectural forms evoke the tranquil spaces of ancient rock-cut monasteries. Through clean geometry and balanced composition, the artwork transforms a timeless spiritual icon into a contemporary visual expression.
Rooted in the Buddhist mural traditions of the Ajanta caves, Padmapāni is revered as the Bodhisattva of compassion, embodying wisdom, serenity, and selfless benevolence.
