Provenance
The depiction of Goddess Lakshmi in this sculpture is a representation of prosperity, abundance, and purity. As the embodiment of wealth and spiritual enlightenment, Lakshmi graces this artwork with her serene presence, seated on a lotus, a symbol of purity rising from murky waters. To have such a figure in your home is to invite not only material prosperity but also spiritual elevation, suggesting that true wealth lies in balancing both the physical and spiritual realms of existence.
Lakshmi’s four arms, each in a mudra, symbolize the pursuit of dharma (righteousness), artha (wealth), kama (desires), and moksha (liberation), encapsulating the holistic fulfillment one seeks in life. This is not merely a religious artifact but a powerful reminder of inner and outer prosperity—a message that aligns with personal aspirations for success and peace.
The craftsmanship of this piece is remarkable, with its delicate detailing on the lotus pedestal and flowing garments. The artist's use of white marble brings an ethereal purity to the form, making it not just a spiritual figure but a timeless piece of art. The smooth lines and harmonious proportions imbue the figure with tranquility, while the subtle texturing around the hands and face emphasizes its divinity, making this a unique blend of art and spirituality.

About: Standing Soapstone Lampshade

I am over the moon with this beautiful piece. I had been looking for something to put on my parents headstone as none of us live near enough to tend it regularly. As they lived in India for many years, when I saw this I thought it would make a fitting tribute. Brahm Collection were brilliant, I can't thank them enough. When I'd done it my heart filled with joy and I know they would absolutely love it. Thank you all xxx
