Inspired by Chapter Thirteen of the Bhagavad Gita, this print explores Kshetra Kshetrajna Vibhaga Yoga, the distinction between the Field and the Knower of the Field. Krishna explains to Arjuna that the body and material world constitute the Kshetra, or field of experience, while the conscious Self that observes and experiences it is the Kshetrajna, the knower of the field.

At the centre of the composition sits a meditating figure, representing the conscious Self turned inward, while an intricate world of nature, relationships, music, senses, offerings, knowledge, and human activity unfolds around them. The surrounding scenes illustrate the many experiences that arise within the field of existence, contrasting the changing material world with the still awareness that observes it.

Richly detailed with floral patterns, sacred imagery, human figures, animals, and symbolic scenes, the composition draws from the visual language of classical Indian manuscript art. Its symmetrical structure places the meditating figure at the heart of an interconnected universe, transforming Chapter Thirteen's philosophical teachings into a visual meditation on consciousness, nature, self-knowledge, and the distinction between the observer and the world being observed.
