The infant Krishna stretches toward the reflection of the moon in water, captivated by what he cannot quite reach. The scene comes from the Bhagavata Purana and captures the playful, irresistible nature of the young Krishna, a favourite subject in Indian devotional painting. The original was commissioned for a royal collection in the hill kingdoms of northern India and now hangs in the Cleveland Museum of Art. This print is the only way to own it.
