Provenance
Padmalakshmi presents Goddess Lakshmi seated upon a blooming lotus, surrounded by elephants, peacocks, cows, swans, and flowering vegetation. Set against a deep indigo ground, the composition creates a richly layered devotional scene where abundance and nature unfold around the central figure.
Drawing from the visual language of traditional Pichwai art, the artwork brings together sacred symbolism and intricate decorative detail. The elephants, lotus blooms, peacocks, and cows create a sense of ceremonial abundance, while the sun, moon, flowering tree, and celestial details lend the composition a quiet cosmic quality.
