Raja Hari Sen of Mandi stands in formal court dress against a deep green ground, painted with the precision and restraint of the finest royal portraits. He was an early patron of the Mandi court's painting tradition, one of the most distinctive schools within northern Indian art. The original was commissioned for a royal collection in the hill kingdoms of northern India and now hangs in the Cleveland Museum of Art. This print is the only way to own it.
