Provenance
Nathdwara is more than a place. It's a rhythm of bells, the scent of marigold, the slow ritual of devotion. And at its heart stands Shrinathji: Krishna as the child-lord, hand raised, gaze unwavering.
This hand-painted Pichwai painting captures that stillness. That presence. Shrinathji stands adorned- a crown of peacock feathers, heavy jewels and lotus blossoms that rise like prayers from the canvas. Every element is steeped in Vaishnavite symbolism, drawn from temple walls and centuries of ritual practice.
24k gold foil, carefull laid by hand, glints from his ornaments and divine attributes. Not just decorative, but devotional. It reflects light the way a sanctum reflects silence.
Created in the Pichwai tradition of Nathdwara, this painting isn't a mere image. It's a continuation of worship. It holds within it, the pause between verses and the hush before the curtain lifts.
