The sage ground is rare in the carpet palette: not the bold emerald of some classical pieces, but the quieter, greyer green of mature foliage.
Woven by hand in Uttar Pradesh using Silk Wool Blend, Sabzeh draws on the Tabriz school — one of the most technically accomplished classical Persian weaving traditions. The sage green ground reads differently under north light versus south, morning versus evening — a responsiveness to light particular to Silk Wool Blend.
